The Smith farm is home to eight people. The garage has been converted into three extra rooms, and I’m living the caravan life. The cars out front make it look like party central. It’s busy. It’s chaotic. It’s always fun.
You’d think we were at capacity. But no. There’s plenty of room for the cats, the dogs, the chooks, the ducks, the budgie, the donkey and the pony. We’ve always got room for more. Our newest family members are Roxy the golden retriever and Cho the kitten. Soon to be added are two aging donkeys looking for retirement pastures. We just can’t say no. And why would we? You can fit a lot on 100 acres. Even peace.
