The sun is out. There are mad tunes on the radio. The beach beckons. Yes, it’s time to live in your bathing suit, your togs, your swimmers. ALL. THE. FREAKING. TIME. Clothes? Pffft.

It’s high time we were comfortable in our own skins. When it’s hot, it’s hard to be, sure. That skin is sweaty, chafes like hell and occasionally undergoes third-degree burns after unplanned beach naps.

There comes a time in every woman’s life where she appraises her bikini-clad bod in the mirror and accepts what she sees. She is able to say: this is my body and it suits me just fine. In fact, it can do some pretty darn amazing things. Gosh. Thanks, circulatory and lymphatic systems. Haven’t given you a second thought today. Cheers for running the show. I can jump, I can run, I can swim. You got this, body. Excellent work.

If only more people were telling their daughters, their sisters, their friends. That we’re all different, and all awesome.

To quote Beyonce:”I woke up like this.” Queen Bey has spoken, people.

Happy summer frolicking.
